Aqua Bonsai A Bonsai growing in water

Aqua Bonsai is a new style of Bonsai that employs hydroponic technology (a method of growing plants using mineral nutrient solutions in water, without any substrate).

First, a bonsai that was initially grown in soil is placed in a water circulation system and under grow lights. The details of this system are closely guarded, but it results in a bonsai that can thrive without substrate.

How to grow an Aqua Bonsai?

Choose a good glass container to display your bonsai. Add 2 drops of fertilizer to every 250ml of water. Place the tree in a sunny window. Drain the liquid once a week, replacing the water and adding nutrients again.

With this circulation system, Bonsais are grown with new roots (suitable for hydroponic cultivation).

The water in which the bonsai is placed is not normal tap water, as the tree would wither and eventually die. Therefore, we add certain fertilizers to the water, making it slightly acidic, thus promoting growth.
